The details for our St George’s Day Shoot and Meet have finally been confirmed and are as follows:

Wednesday 25th April 2018

Shoot

Location: Mainstone Hill Shooting Grounds

Start time: 1:00pm

Cost: £30 per head, 70 bird shoot inc bacon butty and tea/coffee

Cartidges: max 28g 6’s and fibre wads only, please bring your own or buy at the ground for an additional fee

Open to novices as well as experienced shooters

Arrive around 1:00pm for bacon butty and tea/coffee. Briefing and shooting to start around 1:30pm. Finish by 4:00pm

As the shoot is on an active military site, you will need to register at least 3 days prior to the meeting and provide your details and car registration (the one you will be travelling in on the day) so the MoD has a list of who is allowed on site. They have bigger guns than us and the authority to use them!!!

The shooting ground is open to members and their guests in the morning so there will be other people there when we arrive. We have it for our exclusive use from 1:30pm onward. If you are a member, or a guest of one, then feel free to arrive early and shoot beforehand as well

Meeting

Location: Sit Perpetuum temple on Bisley Camp

Start time: 5:00pm

Dress code: smart shooting attire or standard masonic dark suit. Craft, provincial, PDL lodge or plain black tie

We will be performing a Ceremony of Initiation for a new member

 

 

 

Dining

Location: City Rifle Club, Bisley Camp

Start time: 7:00pm for a 7:30pm dinner

Cost: £21 per head

This will be a Festive Board so only open to masons

Menu:

Starter: Smoked Salmon

Main: Chicken Pie with various vegetables

Dessert: Sweet trolley with a variety of desserts to choose from
